This policy explains what personal information Connection Canyon LLC collects through this website, why, and what choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

When you visit the website

This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising tools. The fonts and images are stored on our own website, so your browser does not contact Google or other third parties to load them. (The emails we send through Kit work differently; see the next section.)

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. This is needed to deliver the website safely and to protect it from attacks. We do not use this data to identify you.

When you sign up for the free Behavior Decoder

If you sign up, we collect:

your email address,
the date and time you signed up and confirmed your address,
whether you opened our emails and which links you clicked. Kit records this automatically for each email we send. We use it only to see whether our emails arrive and are useful, not for advertising.

We use this to send you the free Behavior Decoder worksheet (PDF). After that, we only email you when Nancy's coaching program opens and, now and then, about offers. We do not send a regular newsletter. The free worksheet is offered together with these emails. You can unsubscribe at any time and keep the worksheet.

We use double opt-in: after you sign up, you receive an email asking you to confirm your address. We only send the worksheet and further emails after you confirm.

When you join the founding families waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the same sign-up details as above, also through Kit. We use them only to email you about the founding spots and when coaching opens. Joining the waitlist does not commit you to anything, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

When you email or call us

If you write to us or call us, we use your contact details and message only to reply to you.

Why we are allowed to use your data

Emails, worksheet, and waitlist: your consent. You give it by ticking the box and confirming your email address. If you are in the EU or UK, this is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Website hosting and security: our legitimate interest in running a safe website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Replying to your messages: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.

Service providers we use

We share your data only with providers that help us run this website and send our emails. They may only use it on our behalf.

Kit (Kit, Inc., USA): sends our emails and stores the sign-up lists.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): hosts and protects this website.
Google Workspace (Google LLC, USA): our email inbox, if you write to us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Data transfers to the United States

Connection Canyon LLC and our service providers are based in the United States, so your data is processed there. Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses that these providers offer.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again by mistake. Hosting data at Cloudflare is deleted automatically after a short period.

Your choices and rights

Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of every email, or write to us.
Access, correction, deletion: ask us what we store about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
Withdraw consent: at any time, for the future.
Object or restrict: you can object to how we use your data or ask us to limit it.
Data portability: ask for a copy of your data in a common format.
Complaint: in the EU or UK you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Residents of U.S. states with privacy laws, such as California, have similar rights. To use any of these rights, email us at nancyschilling@connectioncanyon.com. We will answer within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This website is meant for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Please do not enter information about your child in the sign-up forms.

Videos of children are not collected through this website. Once our private video upload opens, this policy will explain exactly how those videos are handled before we accept any.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we let subscribers know by email.
